Elena Chirdaris was born in Medellin, Columbia in 1972 and lived there until she was 11 years old. Following a move to Miami, she and her family ended up in Athens when Elena was 15 years old, where she attended ACS Athens for the last two years of high school.

Elena is now the Owner/Director of Enigma Gallery in Kifissia, the Art Director of S.G. Art Gallery in Kolonaki and a Fine Arts Painter. As a gallery, they focus on “promoting Greek and foreign, young and established artists with permanent and temporary exhibitions.” After having exhibited her own work in Miami, NY, Columbia, Athens, Barcelona, Copenhagen and studied at Sotheby’s, she believes it is time to make a difference in the art market in Greece.

Elena believes that ACS helped her continue with her painting which lead to her exhibiting worldwide, opening a new circle and an art market - beginning with Sotheby’s, which lead to opening Enigma Gallery. The person Elena feels had the greatest influence in her life and contributed to her success was Mrs. Judy Efstathiou, the ACS Art Teacher, although she emphasizes that “all the art teacher were superb!” At ACS she also bonded with friends that continue to be her best friends to this day.
